Gained a 9.5 for free jumping and a rare 10 for jumping talent. He finished 11th at the Atlanta Olympic Games and was a part of the Dutch team at the Sydney Olympic Games.
Silvester’s dam’s sire won at the highest level and was the sire of the most offspring at the Atlanta Olympic Games and is ranked eighth on the World Breeding Rankings of Show Jumping Sires.
Was described as “KWPN Stallion of the Century 2000’ He competed with success as an international showjumper in Berlin, Paris, Goteborg, Dortmund and London.
He was selected for the Los Angeles Olympics, but it was decided he should stay home and concentrate on his breeding activities. He sired a string of world class competitors including 42 international showjumpers.
The BEF Champion Showjumping Sire in successive years and Reserve Champion Eventing Sire.
Silvester is a top class showjumping and eventing stallion with exceptional temperament. He was the overall winner (dressage, eventing and showjumping) at his SEIB Young Horse Evaluation, scoring 9 plus for jumping, dressage and temperament. His forbears have competed at two Olympics and have won numerous Nations Cups. Silvester has exceptionally high fertility, 93%, even with less easy mares. He is an intelligent stallion with an enthusiastic but relaxed temperament which he passes on to progeny.
